What's the difference between the anime and the manga?
(Anime/Manga)

It has been said that the anime is more about "romance" and the manga is more about "religion". The second series of manga focuses more on the implications of Mokona's creation of the world and what it means to be a single person wishing for the support of the world at the expense of the self. And what people might do to try to assume such a role. The anime concentrates more on character (and inter-character) exploration, using the foil of Nova to underscore the angst of Hikaru's star-crossed relation to Lantis and streamlining the role of Eagle from another love interest to a wise, worthy opponent.
And to clarify what I mentioned in the non-spoiler section: Presea and Eagle are the one that die in tha anime but are alive in the manga. Mokona's identity was never revealed in the anime (see "What exactly IS mokona anyway?").
