I don't know who the original author of this glossary was... I think it was also Kotori-chan.... mind you, this glossary may hold a few spoilers so you be careful in reading if you don't want to be spoiled!
- Autozam
- The place where Eagle Vision, Geo, and Zazu are from. A technically
advanced culture compared to the other three. Uses "spirit power" to
fuel their mechas (i.e. fuel is your brainpower). In a crisis (that
is, energy depletion or pollution, depending on which medium you are
seeing RE2 with.) In either case, that was the outward reason to
attack Cephiro (to save Autozam using the Pillar system).......
Characters from this realm look caucasian.
- Cephiro
- The world that Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu are summoned to. Initially ruled
by the pillar, Princess Emeraude, whose Prayer held up the order, the
peace, the reason.... you name it, she supported it.
- Chizeta
- The place where Tarta and Tatra are from. A very middle-eastern or
Indian look to the culture, with the belly-dancer look in the two
princesses, the guardians looking like genies, and their battleship
looking like an Indian curry pot. The country itself is very small, so
the princesses were looking for territorial expansion when they headed
towards Cephiro. characters from this realm all have tanned skin, also
reminescent of the culture.
- Earring
- What Ferio gives Fuu in the manga at the exit of the Forest of Silence.
It was an earring that Emeraude had given to him in hopes that he will
someday find a true love and be happy, unlike the sad ending to her own
love story.
- Eskudo
- The legendary mineral ore that the Magic Knights need to make swords
that will become the "keys" to awaken the Mashin.
- Fahren
- The place where Asuka, Sanyun, and Chanan are from. With all its magic
coming from scrolls, the clothing, and the dragon-shaped battleship,
Fahren resembles an ancient Chinese culture. Their names and faces also
resemble Chinese or Japanese (Asuka seems Japanese, the other two are
decidedly Chinese). Their reason to attack Cephiro is so that Asuka can
become the Pillar and make Cephiro into Candy Land.....
- Forest of Elel / Seirei no Mori
- Where Clef greets the Magic Knights in Part 1.
- Forest of Silence / Chinmoku no Mori
- The forest were Presea the pharle/blacksmith lives. Inside the forest
are numerous monsters, and all travellers must fight them using only
hand-to-hand combat, as all magical powers (spells, scrolls, items,
etc) are nullified inside the forest.
- Fyula
- The name of the flying fish that Clef summons to save the falling
Magic Knights in the first episode.
- Hentai
- Generally means "pervert", usually sexually tilted.
- Kendo
- The traditional Japanese fencing which uses wooden swords called
shinais. The object in a match is to hit / slash at certain areas of
the body. Hikaru's home is a kendo dojo (i.e. kendo school), and she
was better than her father (the master of the school) when she was in
kindergarten.
- Legendary Spring of Eterna / Densetsu no Izumi Eterna
- Where Eskudo lies. It is a two-dimensional spring that looks like a
flat line when standing on level ground. When one dives into the
spring, one falls deep beneath the waters to a challenge that (s)he
must overcome to earn the Eskudo.
- Magic Orb (communicator)
- The red egg-shaped item that Ferio gives Fuu in the anime in place of
the Earring. The orb can transmit messages to each other (like walkie-
talkies) or record information for playback at a later time.
- Mashin
- The mechas that Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu "awaken" to save Cephiro. Each
Mashin has a consciousness that aids the Magic Knights with valuable
information when they are in need of help.
- Mirror Pendant
- An anime-only accessory for Hikaru during the second season. With it,
she can find Lantis anywhere on Cephiro. It also deflects magic once
in a while, which has proved to be more than life-saving at times.
- Rayearth
- Hikaru's Fire Mashin. Portrays "fire", "passion", and "future".
- Seijyu / Spiritual beasts
- A class of creatures that are summond with the spiritual power of the
summoner. These include the creatures that Clef and Alcione summon
during various parts of the series, as well as the horse that Lantis
summons to ride on.
- Selece
- Umi's Water Mashin. Portrays "water", "kindness", and "present".
- Windam
- Fuu's Wind Mashin. Portrays "wind", "knowledge", and "past".
