I decided to answer a lot of the letters I get online, because a lot more than the one who
asked the question can benefit from the answers (and some of them are really frequently
asked...)
Q: Hi, I'm a RayEarth
fan, please reply to my mail.
Fuu: .... I'm known to not write personal
e-mail for months on end even to my best friends (like my best buds
from high school or college... please don't count on me writing mail
to you ^^;;;;;
Q: Can we use you in
a link from us?
Fuu: As I said on the menu page, this site
is "link free" which means you're free to stick a link to this site.
However, make sure you don't link to anywhere other than the top-level
page (http://cephiro.anime.net/index.html) because I don't guarantee
that anything stays where it is now.
Q: Can we use your
translations / lyrics on our website?
Fuu: Any translated material here you are
free to use, on the conditions that (1) you send me the URL when you're done "using" it; and (2) you put a link
back here to Cephiro somewhere near the material you use (like at the
bottom of the page that you have the translation).
Q: Does RayEarth (TV/OVA) have sex scenes or nudity?
Fuu: Hmm... the opening sequence in the anime
has that "nude" transformation scenes, but other than that the TV is relatively free of such for now. There was a
scene partly through the second season that has the girls in a long
bath scene, though. As for the OVA series,
when the girls are in their Mashin they are rather nude.... but as far
as I can remember, neither have graphic (or even implied) sex scenes...
Q: How can I buy (insert
item name here)?
Fuu: Honestly, your guess is as good as mine.
For the books, try all the local Japanese bookstores like Kinokuniya or Asaniya, or Sasuga which mailorders. The
games, hit the import or domestic game shops (although finding them is
a real chore!). For CD's, hit all the import
CD shops... especially because the soundtracks
are supposedly out of print.
Q: The English version
of the RayEarth Saturn game was released in June of 1996.
Fuu: Uh... then why was the game not
available at my local Babbage's until December of 1998? ^^;;;
Q: What is with all
the mew's and meow's that you have Hikaru saying in the
translations?
Fuu: It's all part of Hikaru's
catgirl-ification that happens when she is super-deformed. ^^;
Q: I'm working on
(fanart / fanfiction / computer apps / midi files / costume) that has
to do with RayEarth. Would you like to see it when I'm done?
Fuu: I am always open to hear, see, and
read RayEarth fan activity. You don't need my permission to send fanart
(in any format that Photoshop can read), fanfiction (in any format my
web browsers can read), applications (just make sure to zip them up),
midi files (well there's only one format ^^) or photos of your RayEarth
cosplay attempts (once again, in any format Photoshop can read). Just
send them over! But of course, sending them means that you're giving
me permission to put them into the "fandom" section of this website...
Q: Do you know more
about when RayEarth is going to air in the States?
Fuu: I only know about the video releases...
you're probably better off asking the people at Media Blasters. ^^:
Q: How do I make yen
into dollars, or vice versa?
Fuu: You go to the bank, silly person. =)
But all in all, the exchange rate for yen to dollars fluctuates day
by day... the best way to find this out is by listening to the financial
(business) portion of your local news; they will most likely give you
"today, one dollar buys you xxx Japanese yen" after they're done talking
about the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P500,
and about NASDAQ. There also are online sites that
specialize in providing 'net denizens the latest exchange rate.
Q: Who are Umi and Fuu
talking about in their songs in OSB1?
Fuu: You can choose Ascot or Clef for Umi,
unless you would like to assert that there is another romantic interest
for Umi. As for Fuu, I'm sure it's Ferio ;-)
Q: Do you know where
I can find mp3's or avi's of music / magic animation?
Fuu: I'm sorry, I don't know where you can
find mp3's or avi's.... ^^;;;
Q: The fantranslations
are missing pages.
Fuu: Ur... if you can tell me which pages
are missing, I will e-mail them to you... but I can't do anything about
it unless I know which pages are missing... --;;;
Q: I have an AKIRA fanart, can you put it up on your fanart
gallery?
Fuu: .............
This website has a RayEarth fanart gallery.... there aren't any fanart
galleries for other series here..... sorry.......
