Umi by CPUnit. click for larger image The man named Ferio did not seem to be an enemy. Fuu strikes a deal with him—he helps them out as bodyguard, and they help him escape the maze of a forest. They trudge through, and right at the exit, Umi is hit by an ice spell by Alcione and is badly hurt. Hikaru, angered, casts Blazing Arrow but cannot finish Alcione off. Ferio asks why the girls are not asking him for help; Fuu replies that it was their battle and he had nothing to do with it now that they were out of the forest. Umi comes to and wishes that she could have a spell to help Hikaru. The ornament on Mokona's forehead, usually red, turns blue and Umi hears Clef's voice. Clef, through Mokona, teaches Umi her first spell, Water Dragon (Mizu no Ryuu), and she uses it to defeat Alcione. Fuu notes all of this and asks Mokona to allow her to help Hikaru and Umi. Mokona's head ornament turns green, and Clef teaches her Healing Wind (Iyashi no Kaze), her first spell. Fuu uses this spell to heal Umi's wounds that she got from Alcione. At this point, Ferio tells the girls the Legend of the Magic Knights that they heard Clef and Presea mention—that when something happened to the Pillar of Cephiro, those summoned from Another World will become the magic Knights and fight using the power from the Mashins. he also explains how life works in Cephiro—that the Will can and does determine everything—that the monsters that they have been fighting are actually materializations of the people's fears. Fuu and Ferio by crys. click for larger image He leaves, giving Fuu one of his earrings and a kiss on her hand. Meanwhile, Alcione had crawled back to Zagato's castle, and was erased by the priest. He then summons Ascot, a little boy., to fight the Magic Knights. The three girls in the meantime arrive at a meadow with a nice table-like tree. Hikaru notices a "line" on top of the tree—and when the girls looked at the "line" from atop a rock, they realize that the line was Eterna..... it was a two-dimentional pond. Mokona jumps into the line, and disappears. The girls, realizing that they have to enter Eterna to get Eskudo, follows. Each girl wakes up in a dark area, alone. Hikaru sees a vision of her dog Hikaru. Umi sees a vision of her parents. Fuu sees a vision of herself. The visions start attacking the girls—Hikari starts biting Hikaru, Umi's parents starts shooting thunder-like spells at her, and Fuu's mirror starts shooting the arrows. Presea, by ChibiHeart. click for larger image. Hikaru loves her dog too much to attack. Umi can't get herself to attack her parents. Fuu notices that every scratch she gets appears on her mirror, and vice versa. They are at a loss—when they hear a voice from above. Emeraude. The Princess asks the Magic Knights if the visions in front of them are things that are important to them. The Knights all say yes. Emeraude then questions whether or not the things which are so dear to them would do anything to hurt them.... and the Knights realize that all the visions are merely an illusion. Each knight destroys the vision with new spells: Hikaru casts Scarlet Lightning (Akai Inazuma), Umi casts Sapphire Waterspout (Aoi Tatsumaki), and Fuu casts Jade Gale (Midori no Shippuu). They see Eskudo... and when they touch the ore, their armors change shape. They teleport back out of Eterna, and are greeted by Presea. Presea strips into her craetors' robe, and creates the Magic Knights' weapons. She falls to her knees from using too much of her Heart to make the weapons, but explains to the girls that these weapons will grow as they mature, like how the guards just changed. The weapons that they borrowed magically returned to Presea, and their new weapons disappeared into their wristguards. At this point, Mokona produces a little flying saucer, and the girls climb on. As Presea looks over them, they fly off. Ascot, by Simone Chassereau. Original size. After a moment, the saucer falls into the ocean—upon contact in the water, the saucer forms a bubble around it and become something like a submarine. They land inside an underwater shrine. Umi falls into a trance and states that the Mashin lies inside the shrine. They enter a room, led by Umi—and see a drawing of a dragon sprawled across one wall. The dragon comes out of the wall and identifies itself as Selece, one of the Mashin. Ascot appears behind the surprised Hikaru and Fuu, and tells them that he has been waiting here to kill the Magic Knights....
