Synopses, Translations, Ordering Information P a r t T w o : v o l u m e t w o As the Magic Knights arrive at the scene, the forces from Fahren are
fighting those from Chizeta. In the end, it becomes a fight between the
"giant kyonsee" (aka ginormous illusion of Sanyun) and the two machos
(Djinns). As a result of the fight, the two Roads from those two
countries fall back a bit (from the leaders using too much Willpower).
Back on the NSX, Geo starts to wonder if Eagle is hiding something,
especially from the way Eagle seems to be fixated on Lantis. When the
Magic Knights come back to the castle, it is noted to the reader (but not
to the Knights) that the Mashins all kneel in front of Mokona before going
into their own dimension. As the girls walk along the hall, they notice
Lantis summoning his horse and trotting away. Clef remembers the old days
when Lantis was the chief guard (a position now held by Lafarga, btw) and
wonders: Is Cephiro (as it is now) Beautiful? Ferio agrees with Clef in
that even if the Pillar refuses to be Pillar, (s)he has the right to know
all the tragedies of the past. Lantis continues to look for a Path to the Pillar. Eagle observes the barrier around the castle, while silently
reminescing Lantis telling him about Emeraude, the tragedy that must be
stopped. Geo asks if the reason why Eagle asked the President, his
father, to invade Cephiro was so that the Pillar could find a solution for
the extensive pollution problem in Autozam. Eagle does not reveal his
intensions..... Caldina welcomes the girls back in the castle after their battle. She asks about the Chizeta force, revealing that she originally
was from Chizeta but got "held up" in Cephiro (i.e. Lafarga). Lafarga has
doubts about Lantis, when he is vehemently objected by Hikaru's "I don't
think he's a bad person". Asuka and Tarta, upset about each other's
losses, recreate the Roads to Cephiro. As Lantis looks for the Path, he
notes that Hikaru had eyes "like Eagle". Hikaru walks by herself in the
castle, wondering why her heart is aching. Umi and Fuu, while looking for
Hikaru, wonder about the "correctness" of the Pillar system as a whole.
They agree that neither of them like it, even if protecting the people
they love mean becoming convicts (murderers). Another attack by one of
the invaders. Fahren. Asuka takes control of Selece (& Umi) with her
illusionary string. Umi can't control her body as it attacks
Rayearth/Hikaru and Windam/Fuu. Before the final blow is administered,
Umi breaks the spell with a new spell Blades of Ice (Koori no Yaiba).
Suddenly, all three invading Roads collide. Asuka and Tarta fall
unconscious, as well as Eagle. Geo sends a nerve pulse to Eagle to wake
him up (talk about shock therapy...) Hikaru dashes into one of the Roads
despite Umi's objection that you can't enter -- but Hikaru enters the Road
from Autozam. Hikaru and Eagle "see" each other, when sharp pain enters
both their bodies. Hikaru falls out of the Road and is caught by Fuu's
Winds of Reprimand (Imashime no Kaze). Back at the castle, Lantis stops
Fuu from attempting to cast a healing spell, saying that heal spells can't
heal fatigue. As he carries her to her room, he wonders why Eagle is
invading. The Mashins inform Mokona that one of the Magic Knights passed
through one of the invading Roads.
