The RayEarth that is not Magic Knight RayEarth Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu are best friends in junior high school who are facing separation. They have spent their past couple years together at their school in Tokyo... but Umi's family is moving to Kanazawa and Fuu's family is moving overseas. Hikaru, remembering the "magic legend" behind a cherry tree on campus, swears (with Fuu and Umi) to the cherry tree that they will be friends no matter what happens. Earthquakes frequent the city, and a round bunny-like creature (MOKONA!) appears in front of Hikaru, leading her, and ultimately Umi and Fuu, into bizarre war/adventure involving a magical fortress that appears above Tokyo Tower and magicians who control seijyus (elemental beasts)......
