Once upon a time, on the RayEarth ML, one collective consisting of Dave Hsing, Kyousuke, Jharel, and Nanikore asked a seemingly innocent question:
Let's pretend that all the characters from Rayearth exists and are presently living on Earth, leading (semi)normal lives. Assuming they have all finished school (you know whom that is referring to), what occupations are they partaking in? What jobs do they hold?
Staying away from the obvious ones (Hikaru a seeing-eye dog trainer, Fuu a systems engineer, Umi a bride... well, that's not a job), speculate on the occupations of Rayearth characters should they be living on Earth.
(Although coming up ones for the Marshmellowy One and Debonea would be a pretty far stretch)

- johann's little skit, based on gabriel's "zagato is a nuclear power plant owner and inouva is his helper":
Zagato: (viewing surveillance monitors) Innova,
who is that waifish young blond?
Innova: Why sir, that's Emeraude from sector 7G.
Zagato: Excellent. I believe I'll have to make
a date with her on Thursday.
Innova: B-but sir, this is against regulations,
not to mention potentially exposing you
to a sexual harassment suit...
Zagato: Damn it all! Can't a man have a simple
date with a young woman without all this
confounded sexual harassment nonsense
popping up?
Innova: You have to be aware of your position, sir.
Zagato: That I am. And I won't let the lot of
them forget. They should be grateful that
I'm providing them with cheap
electricity. All it takes is ignoring those
stifling EPA guidelines...
Innova: They're so ungrateful. They don't appreciate
you for the man you are.
Zagato: "Thank you", Innova. That's enough
sycophancy for today.
- dave's little skit, also based on the same premises:
Zagato: (viewing surveillance monitors) Innova,
who is that fat slob chomping donuts over
there?
Innova: That's Homer Simpson, sir.
Zagato: Isn't he the one who blew up this plant three
times and thwarted my plans of dominating the
world?
Innova: The same one, sir.
Zagato: Kill him, and dump him in the river.
Innova: Wouldn't that be murder, sir?
Zagato: Not if nobody else finds out. And they won't,
because nobody is going to wallow around in
that toxic river looking for anything, much
less for a fat slobbering idiot like Homer
Simpson.
Innova: I'll get right on it, sir.
- a little conversation about Mokona-on-a-stick:
<Beri> Mmm...Mokona...Primera wouldn't mind!
<Dave> We know THIS person wouldn't mind!
* Dave plops down a picture of episode 27 where Umi
chases Mokona around the room while holding knife
and fork.
* Beri analyzes the picture.
<Beri> I wonder what the nutritional content of
Mokona is.
* Fuu don't want to eat Mokona.... want Mokona as a
PILLOW! =D
<Kyousuke> Now imagine that you're Mokona,
<Jharel> And the back of David's large, lead-
filled head looms closer and closer towards
you as he plans to utilize you as a pillow-
<Nanikore> Then *SQUISHES* #right# @in@ $your$
=belly=, flattening it allllllllll the way
against the inside of your back!
<Kyousuke> Pretty soon, youcan'tbreathanymoreand
<Nanikore> ...and you become a BLUE MARSHMELLOW

Epsidode ##: Is that Boy Real?
(like the Fushigi Yuugi episode of the same name, this
time with Fuu and Ferio instead of Miaka and Tamahome
and the plot mixed up with some other episode)
Fuu had a fuzzy feeling in her head. She remembered
looking frantically for him after the flash of bright
light. It's nouse. Had she lost him? Is he dead? It
can't be! "NO!" she cried out in disbelief.
Everybody in the classroom was looking at Fuu. "Are you
alright, Fuu?" A girl sitting next to her asked. It was
Yuki, one of her school friends. Fuu blinked, "Huh?"
Amist the laughter of her classmates, the stare of her
teacher and her intense embarassment Fuu saw someone
sitting near the window. It was a boy with curious green
hair and a scar on his left cheek. It was Ferio, looking
sharp in school uniform! But it can't be. This is Earth,
isn't it? How did he get here? How did SHE get here?
"Wh-Who is he?" Fuu asked her friend. Yuki raised and
eyebrow, but answered anyways. "He's Daisuke, you silly!
He's been with us eversince the beginning of the year!"
The boy flashed a smile at Fuu.

One can only guess at the
origin and intent of this
marshmellow-like creature.

on Mokona's part sends them into 2032,
Megatokyo, and the middle of Sylia's apartment.
<gohan> Lafarga, pairing with Caldina,
starring in the movie "9 1/2 weeks"
<raye> Lafarga as an actor? Hmm, not sure about
that one. He seems a bit too private for that.
But, if you're going to put him in "9 1/2
Weeks", I suppose Caldina is the best partner.
<gohan> Lafarga, Zagato, Lantis, Geo, Eagle, and
Ascot as the new cast for the movie "The Full
Monty"
<Fuu> I wouldn't mind Clef OVA version ^o^
<raye> Lantis, Zagato and Ascot in "The Full
Monty"?!? Can I please be in the studio audience
for the final scene? I'll face Hikaru's,
Primera's, Emeraude's and Umi's wrath for it...
<Dave> Nah, you won't face their wrath because
they'll be too busy "acting" in Baywatch :)
<johann> Do they have enough cleavage for that
show? ^_^ Maybe Emeraude in adult form, but
she'll have to be joined by Caldina and Alcione
instead.
- and a special entry from the messageboard at the Fuu shrine:
I'll take Nova and Debonair. The eeeevil witch would be
washing cars (yah yah working for those lazy people who
have no courage to by those huge machines) with those
tight shorts and toppers (that's NOT on ecchi purpouse!)
with her bluuue ugly skin appearing. Hohoho, humiliation!
Andevery time she'd finish washing the whole car, Mokona
would appearand throw her a bucket of cooold water! And
Nova would just site on the car driver's back seat and
play with his/her brain.
